There’s an adults-only hotel open in Goa!

If you are a family vacationing in Goa and is planning to check-in to the Park Hotel Goa Baga River, your kids may not get a room there, as it is an adults hotel. The boutique hotel is for adults-only, and guests below the age of 18 are not welcome. The hotel caters exclusively to couples and the just-married.

TripAdvisor says that there is only one other hotel in the country with entry restrictions and that is ‘Ananda – In the Himalayas’, in Rishikesh. The hotel doesn’t allow children below 14 “in order to maintain its tranquillity”.

The 28-room luxury hotel’s average tariff comes at Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 a night. The Park Baga River Goa is aimed to provide a place for sheer rest and bliss whether on a romantic getaway or to have fun with friends. This hotel is designed to meet the needs and preferences of an adult clientele. A range of relaxing in-room experiences are available for couples and companions which include bottle of wine, chocolates, fruit baskets, tea cakes, romantic candles and rose petals.

Though the concept of adults-only hotel is well received in many countries, people are not that confident about Indian travellers opting for adults-only hotel as they hardly travel without kids. Germany has a host of hotels that doesn’t allow children. There are such properties in Africa, Americas, Europe, Caribbean, Australia, Oceania, Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Israel, China, Maldives, Bali, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
