Hyundai Launches Brand New Petrol Variant, Verna

Hyundai motor India Limited added new series of petrol Verna to their fleet having a brand new 1.4 litre petrol engine with a fuel efficiency of 19.1 kmpl priced at Rs. 7.8 lakh and Rs. 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) .

The company is also successfully selling their new generation Verna that was launched earlier with a 1.6 litre petrol and diesel variants.

“The new 1.4 litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine is an ideal combo with fuel efficiency and performance that truly exhibit Hyundai’s promise in quality towards their loyal customers,” says Rakesh Srivastava, Director Sales and Marketing, Hyundai, in a statement.

“The company hopes the new launch would establish Verna’s prominence among its competitors,” he added. The model is equipped with two variants – E and EX with a 6 speed manual transmission.

The base version itself comes with standard safety features like dual front airbags, Anti–lock braking system (ABS), central locking, day and night rear view mirror, clutchlock, seat belt pre – tensioners, immobilizer. The upper variant EX comes with reverse parking camera with sensors, front projector fog lamps, automatic headlamps, and speed sensing auto door lock.

The main competitors of the segment include Maruti Suzuki Ciaz as well as Honda city. The cheaper version of the new Verna is expected to land Hyundai in a better position.­­
