Kochi Muziris Biennale ( KMB) rescheduled for NOV-2021

Sad news for the art lovers, the fifth edition of the KMB ( Kochi Muziris Biennale) scheduled for DEC this year has been postponed to November 2021 in view of the ongoing pandemic situation and since Kerala has noticed a second spike in COVID 19 cases.

KMB has been India’s most talked-about art exhibitions and also the people’s favorite since its launch in 2012. Earlier when it was announced that the exhibition will be held from DEC 20 there was a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm from the Art lovers which has now given way to disappointment.

A statement issued by the organizers expressed hope that the circumstances in NOV 21 would be conducive for visitors, artists, staff, and others for a safe and complete Biennale gathering;

The announcement of the fourth edition of Students Biennale, taking place online after restructuring though has added some much-needed light to the darkness and has surely brought back some smiles.

This segment will feature art students from all over the country participating and displaying their talents and will be led by five curator-mentors, Suresh K Nair, Archana Hande, Adip Dutta, Manoj Vyloor, and Vasudha Thozhur. The famous Indian novelist Sarnath Banerjee too will be part of the action and will be hosting an online workshop, namely The Redundant Fact-Checker.
