Tourism council of Bhutan to increase fee for monuments

The Tourism Council of Bhutan has decided to raise the entrance fee for monuments across Bhutan starting January 2020. The council also called the relevant stakeholders and agencies concerned to take note of the revision of the fees and inform their clients.

The highest visiting fee has been revised on Tiger’s nest in Paro district, from 7.14 US dollars to 14.25 US dollars for adults, while monuments including Trashichho-Dzong, Memorial Chorten and others were raised from 4.28 US dollars to 7.14 US dollars. However, student visitors were given discount of 50 per cent.
