Fayfay.com in MoU with Da Nang and Hue to promote Vietnam Tourism

Fayfay.com, an e-commerce company dedicated to authentic Vietnam travel experiences, has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center and the Tourism Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province to promote Vietnam tourism, with a special focus in Central Vietnam. The MoUs come at a strategic time, as international visitors to Vietnam hit a record high of over 15.5 million in 2018.

The two MoUs were signed by Kelvin Wu, the Co-founder of Fayfay.com, alongside Huynh Thi Huong Lan, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center and Le Huu Minh, the Acting Director of the Tourism Department of Thua Thien-Hue Province respectively, where industry experts and members of the media joined the ceremony.

“Da Nang and Hue are popular destinations for international travellers. According to the municipal tourism department, Da Nang attracted more than 7.6 million visitors in 2018, rising 23 per cent year-on-year, earning total revenue of nearly US$1.2 billion. Meanwhile, Thua Thien-Hue Province served over 4.3 million visitors in 2018, increase up to 14 per cent year-on-year and grossed US$192.4 million from tourism revenue. “With the combined effort of Fayfay.com, we are confident that both tourism revenue and visitor arrivals will hit record highs. We will leverage our online platforms to showcase the vibrant history and the magnificent natural wonders of central Vietnam which includes popular cities such as Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang and Quang Binh, as well as promoting the region as the destination of choice for travelers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia,” said Wu.

“Da Nang and Hue are the spotlight cities on Fayfay.com in 2019. Working closely with the two tourism authorities, we will augment our marketing effort and roll out more initiatives, including digital campaigns, industry partnerships, media familiarization trips and trade shows. We believe the strategic joint promotional activities will enable us to connect central Vietnam with the international audience on a deeper level,” added Wu.
