First cruise ship of the season will arrive at Kochi on 15th October

Marking the new tourism season, the first cruise ship will arrive at Kochi port by 15th October. After Kochi, the luxury cruise ship MV Boudicca, carrying  522 tourists, will reach Vizhinjam the next day at around 8 AM.

The tourists disembarking at the Vizhinjam port will be received by the tourism authorities in traditional style. After sightseeing in different tourism attractions of the region, the group will set off to Colombo at evening.

The luxury ship belongs to Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will have 388 crew members other than the 522 tourists.  Most of the tourists are from the UK.

The ship is coming to Kochi from Goa, where it stayed for one night. Earlier the ship departed from Abu Dhabi, UAE on October 4 and docket at Mumbai prior to its arrival in Goa.

The ship is named after the legendary warrior queen of Birton- Boudicca, who led an uprising against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire. The ship has 462 rooms and can accommodate up to 880 guests.
