Seychelles eyes tier two cities of Inida for enhancing inbound tourism

Seychelles Tourism Board is looking for enhancing inbound tourists from the second tier cities of India. With the aim of expanding their reach to more cities of India, destination training workshops were conducted by the Seychelles tourism board in Surat and Nagpur.

The objective of the workshops was to provide the tour operators with information and details about Seychelles and to find new potential partners who could promote the destinations in Seyshelles.

The training session was conducted by Shakambri Soni from Seychelles Tourism Board.  Meanwhile, Neeti Bhatia, GM-Marketing and PR at Blue Square Consultants, Seychelles Tourist office India, coordinated the networking sessions.

Seychelles has been witnessing a steady growth in inbound tourism from India with more than 10,000 visitors, till September 2018. India is the top 6th source destination for Seychelles and is seeing an increase in traffic from tier two cities of India.

“The workshop format is a great way of engaging many new and upcoming agents in any city, it gives a common platform for all to get information and support from the tourism board,” said Lubaina Sheerazi, COO, Blue Square Consultants, Seychelles Tourist office India.

“Seychelles is now a choice of destination for target audiences beyond honeymooners and metro cities and penetration into tier two cities through this format provides a larger stage to initiate and nurture quality B2B interaction,” she added.
