Fiji HOTEC 2018 tradeshow to be held on November 1 & 2

Denarau Island Convention Centre

The Fiji Hotel & Tourism Association’s (FHTA) organizes the annual industry trade show – “HOTEC 2018” on November 1st and 2nd at the Denarau Island Convention Center (DICC) in Nadi, Fiji.

“This year, along with exhibitor booths, a range of tourism specific interactive programmes are planned for industry participants to attend and learn from it,” said Fantasha Lockington, FHTA’s Chief Executive Officer.

HOTEC is organized so that suppliers to the industry can showcase and demonstrate their latest products and services, meet with industry partners, customers and competitors and get first hand updates on the latest market trends, demands and opportunities.

“We have also been working with the Ministries of Tourism and Agriculture in a collaborative effort to further develop our agri-tourism linkages,” he added.

HOTEC 2018 aims at providing a platform to address demand of tourism products with farmer supplies; connect hotels to supply chain opportunities and new produce varieties and promote the use of local products through the creation of signature dishes, through which Fiji can be recognized.

The event will provide opportunity for the participants to display their skills – IT, culinary skills, barista competitions and tutorials, cocktails demos, solar trends, furniture and furnishings, gardens and outdoors, HR awareness sessions, cleaning products, security options, wine displays and all sorts of food tasting and so on.

“Whether you are a supplier or work in the tourism industry, HOTEC 2018 will be of interest to you,” said Lockington.
