Kerala

With love, from Poland

Kerala is slowly recovering from the devastating floods that caused widespread destruction to the state. Some of the areas are still under water. The state government has formulated plans to rebuild Kerala, but the things are beyond the capacity of a state government. Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala, has been appealing to the world to contribute generously to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund to take Kerala back to its golden days.

Donations and relief aids have been flowing from around the globe to help Kerala to arise from the disaster of the century. Here is one such a noble gesture from a yoga teacher from Poland, who visited Kerala as part of the first ever Yoga Ambassador’s Tour, organised by Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India and ATTOI (Association of Tourism Trade Operators India), in association with Kerala Tourism.

Paulina Kulikowska, yoga teacher who is running Yoga of Love, has come forward to help Kerala to recover from the disaster. She expressed her willingness to donate 15 per cent of her income from the yoga workshops to the relief fund of Kerala.

In her Instagram page ‘yoga.of.love‘,  she wrote “As one of the #YogaAmbassadors I support the action #standwithkerala to #rebuildkerala after dramatic consequences of this year’s monsoon. I left Kerala a week before the airport was completely flooded and thousands of people have lost their lives and livelihoods. I feel deeply touched with this tragedy, that’s why I have decided to pass 15 per cent of the income from all my workshops until the end of the year to the Fund Supporting Kerala. This way every one of us will share a piece of good to rebuild schools, houses and hospitals. We are a part of something bigger, united we have an incredible power!!”

“Kerala is a wonderful place, not without reason called God’s Own Country,” concludes the post.
