Jet Airways to connect Patna with Allahabad from June 14

Jet Airways said it will connect Patna with Allahabad from June 14 under the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) scheme. The flight will leave Allahabad at 8 am and reach Patna at 9.40 am. For the return journey, the flight will take off from Patna at 10.10 am and reach Allahabad at 11.50 am. The 72-seater aircraft will operate thrice a week -Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

With Allahabad on the map, Patna will now have direct flights to 11 cities. At present, direct air service from Patna is available to New Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Lucknow, Pune, Varanasi, Ranchi, Chennai and Hyderabad.

IndiGo is also expected to start a flight between Patna and Bangalore from June 3. The IndiGo flight will leave Bengaluru at 9.40 pm and reach Patna at 12.05 am. On its return journey, the flight will leave Patna at 4.10 am and land in Bangalore at 6.40 am.

At present, there is only one flight, Patna-Pune, from Patna airport that operates on the night shift. From June 3, a second flight will start operating on the night shift with the new IndiGo flight being operational between Patna and Bangalore. Indigo is also considering a direct flight between Patna and Indore from July.
