Trujet awarded 20 new routes under Udan Phase II

Trujet has been awarded 20 new routes through the Udan scheme initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will take Trujet’s expansion to Western and Eastern States.

The airline now connects 14 major destinations in South and West India with a connectivity between 3 tier cities and their nearest metropolitans. As per the new scheme, Trujet will connect Kandla, Porbandar, Keshod, Jaisalmer, Jalgaon and Nasik from Ahmedabad and Burnpur, Cooch Behar, Tezu, and Rupsi from Guwahati.

“Trujet is now reaching a new level to serve passenger with a whole new approach. We have inducted the 5 th ATR 72-600 aircraft to our fleet and will expand both our fleet and destinations eventually. To encourage air travel, we are offering exclusive fares starting from INR 799,” said Senthil Raja, Head-Commercial, Turbo Megha Airways.

Trujet has been the first airline to complete all the route connectivity in the first bid of Udan and now the second phase of expansion is on cards. TruJet is promoting regional connectivity by providing network to Nanded, Cuddapah, Mysore, Salem and Bellary, under the Udan scheme to Metropolitans like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Vijayawada. It is also connecting corporate and tourism sectors like Goa, Aurangabad and Rajahmundry. With a fleet of 5 ATR-72 aircraft, Trujet currently operates to 14 stations.
