Himachal gets centre-aid to boost religious tourism

With an aim to start promoting religious tourism circuit in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Union Minister for Tourism KJ Alphons held discussions in New Delhi. The ministers discussed about a Rs 300 crore including a project for improving the infrastructure facilities of the state.

Himachal Pradesh is famous for its various eco-tourism activities that support various tourism hotspots in the tourism map. The discussion went pretty well in which the Union Minister has promised to provide all essential support for the state.

Himachal Pradesh, which is famous for its picturesque pristine beauty, is free from the outside pollution that attracts a large sum of nature lovers. On the other hand, the state has a vast number of spiritual tourists arrivals with the prominence of traditional temples and religious rituals.

Meanwhile, Himachal tourism ministry also has directed the state tourism officials to conduct a special presentation on the potentials and prospects of tourism of the state to the centre. Major Tourism products of the state include mountaineering, biking, river rafting and paragliding.
