Mobycy installed 200 e-bikes in Pune

Mobycy, India’s first dock-less bicycle sharing technology, launched 200 cycles in Pune. Tagged as ‘Pollution ka Solution’ it is the cheapest form of transportation, besides auto and cabs, and is healthy as well as eco-friendly. The bicycles are available exclusively via Mobycy App on a rent basis.

Bicycles are located in various locations across Pune – EON, WTC IT Park, Symbiosis Campuses in Viman Nagar, and in Airport area.

“I always wanted to launch cycles in Pune, owing to the number of students and young working professionals the city. We have deployed our smart bikes at various strategic locations, providing everyday commuters with an easier alternative to commuting that is beneficial for their health and environment,” said Akash Gupta Mobycy co-founder.

“With 200 smart bikes in the state, we would soon love to increase the number, as per the response received from the users,” added Akash.

Mobycy, works with the technology of automated locks with GPS tracking that could be unlocked via a QR code. Hiring charge for the app starts from Rs 5, Rs 15 and so on.

The smart cycle is also equipped with a 250- watt motor that can run up to 40 km, with a top speed of 20 km per hour. Mobycy is also available at various other cities – Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, Chandigarh, and Karaikudi.
