The eight Australian State and Territory Tourism Offices in partnership with Tourism Australia has relaunched the award-winning Aussie Specialist Program in New Zealand, providing a dedicated free online training resource for frontline travel sellers.

The updated programme has been designed to equip agents with more relevant, up-to-date and targeted information and showcase new regions, destinations and experiences within Australia previously unfamiliar to most Kiwi travellers.

The programme offers tailored interactive training modules, itinerary suggestions, fact sheets, industry updates, destination FAQs, an interactive map and monthly email updates covering what’s new.

“A key objective in relaunching the program was to help New Zealand agents sell more Australian business and introduce Kiwi travellers to less familiar destinations and experiences. With repeat visitation already above 90 per cent, we already know that Kiwis love Australia. To remain high on their travel wish-lists and front of mind when planning that next trip, we need to show them the many wonderful destinations and experiences with whom they may be less familiar. Alongside the great work of the states and territories, the revamped Aussie Specialist Program in New Zealand will equip frontline sellers with fresh itinerary suggestions, updated destination information and new news to keep Kiwi travellers engaged in Australia and wanting to come back for more,” said Tourism Australia Managing Director John O’Sullivan.
