Spice Jet grants ticket refund for Maldives

Spice jet, the low-cost airline carrier from India, on behalf of providing a relief to its customers has offered ticket refund for its passengers to Maldives, as the catastrophe situation continues in the country.

Air India has also put forward the policy first in hand before Spice jet. The new policy would be available for a period between 8th to 14th February for which the passengers get full refund towards ticket cancellation.

Regarding the situation, Air India tweets saying “In view of prevailing situation in Maldives, applicable penalties of re-issuance, date change, no-show, cancellation & refund charges for travel from / to Male for both domestic and international flights, stand waived for travel… to February 20, 2018,”

The government of Maldives also put forward their statement saying the emergency period won’t affect their tourism industry as well its trade policy. All airports, resorts, hotels in Maldives are working as usual, said the tourism ministry in a statement. Emergency in the country is till 20th February.
