Get ready for a weekend of everything that flies @ Philippines

Philippines is calling travellers across the world for its annual Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. An absolute extravaganza for the eyes, the event features hundreds of hot air balloons at Omni Aviation Complex inside the Freeport.

The event is called as “A weekend of everything that flies” is the longest as well as biggest fest in the aviation sports history of Philippines.  The event will be witnessed by around 1 lakh visitors – both domestic and international.

This year the festival will be held from 8th to 11th February and will exhibit over 26 coloured hot air balloons in different shapes – happy heart, matryoshka Russian doll, queen’s guard, giant strawberry, buddy balloon, captain jack, princess nellie, vostok balloon, master yoda, morris the donkey, bruno the clown and pepe the hedgehog etc.

The Fiesta also includes multiple programmes such as skydiving, flag jumps, remote control aeroplanes and helicopter flying, freestyle aerobatics, kite making, paragliding, skydiving, aerobatic performances, and kite flying.

This year, for the first time, the world’s only wing-walking team named ‘Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers’ will be performing their adrenaline pumping demonstrations such as loops, rolls, invert flights including two female wing walkers for the event.

Evenings of the fest is exuberated with musical performance played by artists from all around the world and it guarantees a full entertainment for the day.
