Surajkund International Crafts Mela

Haryana Tourism is all set for the 32nd ‘Surajkund International Crafts Mela’, to be held from 2nd to 18th February at Faridabad this year. The fest is all about showcasing the abundance of distinct handicrafts, handlooms and cultural fabric of India followed by a display of colours, rhythm and drum beats.

More than 15 lakh domestic and international visitors are expected this year marking Surajkund Craft Mela as the largest craft fair in the world. The fest is conducted by Surajkund Mela Authority and Haryana Tourism in association with central tourism ministry.

Theme state selected this year is ‘Uttar Pradesh Tourism’ with ‘Republic of Kyrgyzstan’ as the partnering nation. Participants from 20 countries as well as state-wise participation are expected.

Another attracting point of the fest is its ‘Chaupal’ that exhibit live performance from renowned singers and musicians daily. A multi-cuisine food court is another spot that provides traditional cuisines from all parts of the world, followed by a display of diverse handlooms and handicrafts of India.

The event is child-friendly this year and would feature zero tolerance against child right negligence. Entry fee for Mela in the weekend is Rs 180 and  Rs 120 for weekdays per person. The fest is open from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm.
