Fitur 2018 kick starts with India as partner country

Fitur 2018, the annual International Tourism Fair in Spain, kick starts in Madrid with India as its Partner Country. India is the Fitur Partner and is the fifth country by presence in the five day event, which will be concluded on January 21, 2018,

For the third year in a row, Fitur has allowed a participating company or destination the chance to become integrated in its communication strategy to gain better advertising and broadcasting. On this occasion, this partner programme has turned India into a Fitur Partner, adding its country brand to this staging and placing the Asian power in a special spotlight during the Trade Show.

“In fact, INDIA is the Asian country with the greatest presence in this staging, and one of the top five in the Trade Show as a whole,” opines the organisers of the event, in a press release. Under the slogan of ‘Incredible India’, the hall led by the India Tourism Board has witnessed a 35 per cent increase in overall participation, with a greater presence of companies and states/regions, as well as of tour operators that will be present in their own stands.

In 2017 Fitur has beaten the participation record with 9,893 exhibiting companies from 165 countries/regions, 135,858 trade participants and 107,213 people from general public.  Among the participation figures, the major achievement was the increase of 18.8 per cent of international trade visitors compared to the previous staging. The trade show is set to generate 260 million euros over its five days, and strengthen various sectors connected to tourism. The tourism fair has grown by 8 per cent and international participation has grown by 13 per cent this year.
